HEMP

What is Hemp?

Hemp is a low THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) cannabis plant that is jam packed with nutrient dense seeds.
Hemp can also be used to make clothing, plastic, paper, construction materials, biofuel and rope, it has over 25,000 different uses. Although it is a part of the cannabis family, hemp is completely legal to consume in Australia and can not get you high.

What is the difference between Hemp and Marijuana?

Hemp and Marijuana do come from the same cannabis family, although you could compare them cousins instead of twins; same family but very different!

Marijuana is known for having large amounts of something called tetrahydrocannabinol, otherwise known as THC. This is the psychoactive component of the plant that people refer to as a ‘high',

Hemp on the other hand, contains less than 0.3% of THC. This amount is so little that it has been deemed safe by the Australian government to consume without having to worry about receiving any of its brothers' side effects.

Will Hemp Get My Dog High?

No, Hemp will definitely not get your dog high. The chemical compound that is required to cause any kind of high, THC, is in such a low percentage (0.005% to be exact)  in all of our products that your dog will not get high. What they will be high on is all of the health benefits of adding Field Day to your dogs meal time.

How is Hemp Seed Oil different from CBD Oil?

Hemp Seed Oil is made from the nutrient dense seeds of the hemp plant whereas CBD Oil is made from the leaves and stalk of the hemp plant. The Hemp Seed Oil contains less than 0.0075% (75mg/kg) of CBD and doesn't contain any of the benefits associated with CBD.

Hemp Seed Oil is used as a food product to increase your essential fatty acid update, whereas CBD Oil is used for medical purposes.

Where is Your Hemp Grown?

Is Your Hemp Grown Organically?

We sustainably farm our hemp and currently have organic crop trails running. Unfortunately, we aren’t organically certified but we remain observant and careful as to what our crops are sprayed with.

All ingredients in all of the toppers are nutritious whole food ingredients, so giving more than the recommended dose is very unlikely to cause any harm. All ingredients have a wide margin of safety. Therefore, following the recommended dosing per day is advisable.

Toppers and treats do also contain calories, so it is important to account for this and to monitor your dog’s body weight and body condition, otherwise excess weight gain may occur.
